Tarnow officially the organizer of the 3rd European Games
It was an important day for Tarnow. On Wednesday, November 9, a partnership agreement was signed, under which Tarnow officially joins the group of cities organizing the European Games Krakow – Małopolska 2023.
The European Games Krakow – Małopolska are fast approaching. The event will begin on June 21, 2023, and on Wednesday an important agreement was signed with another partner city. The agreement was signed on behalf of Tarnów by the city’s mayor Roman Ciepiela. The Organizing Committee was represented by President Marcin Nowak and Vice President Michal Langer.
Tarnów will be the venue for four disciplines. The Beach Sports Center will see competition in beach handball and beach soccer. Badminton will be played at the Jaskółka Arena, while sport climbing has been located on the grounds of the Uniwersity of Applied Sciences.
What’s more, the badminton competition will be simultaneously a European championship and qualifier for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, with 160 athletes from all over Europe competing.
