Easter Saturday in Poland was marked by an unprecedented meteorological event, as temperatures soared to record-breaking highs. The meteorological station in Poland’s southern city of Tarnów recorded a staggering 26.4 degrees Celsius, surpassing the previous March record set in 1974 by 0.8 degrees. The old town in Tarnów is called the “pearl of the Renaissance” because it has one of the most beautiful Renaissance architectural layouts out of all Polish cities and many priceless monuments from that period.
Everyone in Tarnów has photos with the city’s newest attraction, i.e. mascarons. So I couldn’t miss them either. I didn’t have time to complete the entire trail of 14 figures yet, but during my Easter walk I took a photo of three of them.
