7. Tarnów is said to be the Polish warm pole. Even the town’s promotional slogan refers to it. This of course is an offer for those who do not find it easy to deal with Polish winter. They have even decided to try and establish precisely in which part of the town the pole is exactly located – according to this it is near the Pałac Sanguszków. Indeed the long term observations prove that Tarnów has the highest average yearly air temperaturę (8-9˚C). In terms of temperaturę summer (days with temperaturę over 15˚C) lasts here for 114 days. The region also has the longest vegetation (days with temperature of over 5˚C) lasting between 225 and 230 days. It seems that the weather should not prevent anyone from visiting general’s Józef Bem Mausoleum, situated in the middle of a park pond or taking a stroll along the charming streets of a town, probably even more Galician than Kraków.
