Quirky, mysterious and delicious"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Once destined for a sorrowful end, they have become icons.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The last \u201cladybird\u201d in Tarn\u00f3w.<\/p>\r\n<p>Tarn\u00f3w, alongside Krak\u00f3w and Lviv, was one of the Galician cities that boasted a tram line. Although the ride itself was not very long \u2013 as the tracks connected Burtnicza Street with the railway station \u2013 it undoubtedly added to the city\u2019s prestige. The tram carriages were painted red, which is why they came to be known as \u201cladybirds\u201d. Sadly, their service in Tarn\u00f3w did not last very long, as they carried the city\u2019s residents only between 1911 and 1942.
