As the Polish climate has become increasingly mild with less frosts and shorter winters, the Polish wine industry has bloomed, with Ma\u0142opolska emerging as Poland&#8217;s wine country.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\r\n<p>Tarn\u00f3w, as it happens, is known as the &#8216;Polish hotspot&#8217; (&#8216;Polski biegun ciep\u0142a&#8217;) not simply because that was the best catchphrase the suits on the tourist board could come up with, but also because Tarn\u00f3w has the warmest average temperature in Poland, the country&#8217;s most sunny days, the longest summers and the least number of windy days. This is especially true of the Pog\u00f3rze region just south of Tarn\u00f3w, which possesses a microclimate ideal for the cultivation of grapes used for winemaking.
