As the Polish climate has become increasingly mild with less frosts and shorter winters, the Polish wine industry has bloomed, with <strong>Ma\u0142opolska\u00a0emerging as Poland&#8217;s wine country<\/strong>.\u00a0Tarn\u00f3w, as it happens, is known as the &#8216;<strong>Polish hotspot<\/strong>&#8216; (<em>&#8216;Polski biegun ciep\u0142a&#8217;<\/em>) not simply because that was the best catchphrase the suits on the tourist board could come up with, but also because Tarn\u00f3w has the warmest average temperature in Poland, the country&#8217;s most sunny days, the longest summers and the least number of windy days. This is especially true of the <strong>Pog\u00f3rze region<\/strong> just south of Tarn\u00f3w, which possesses a microclimate ideal for the cultivation of grapes used for winemaking. Essentially the <strong>Polish Napa Valley<\/strong>, the region features some lovely countryside and enough vineyards offering tours and tastings to put together a nice ruddy road trip.<\/p>\r\n<h2><strong>Wineries Near Tarn\u00f3w<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<p>If you&#8217;re an oenophile (or even know what that word means) we really do recommend hiring a car and heading south from Tarn\u00f3w to discover the scenic countryside and some of the best wines Poland has to offer. The region is also full of cycling trails if you&#8217;ve got the time and inclination. Below we list four of the best wineries in close proximity to Tarn\u00f3w, but there are actually up to a dozen small wineries\u00a0all within 35km of each other, and Tarn\u00f3w, with many more across Ma\u0142opolska.
