Zalipie is a tiny village in Poland where the houses are covered in painted flowers both inside and out. It’s a local tradition that’s been passed down through generations and continues today.<\/p>\r\n
Visiting Zalipie, you are overwhelmed by colour and by the imagination and creativity of the people who express such joy through painting. You feel really free to just do what you feel like doing and expressing yourself and not being confined by what your home ‘should’ look like. In the video we also do a flower painting workshop and sit with women who have learned how to paint these flowers through their family and are carrying on the tradition. We also visit the local church which, of course, is full of painted flowers. You can’t help but feel joy and inspiration in colourful Zalipie!<\/p>\r\n
