Beans from the Tarnów Region with the PDO designation!
The beans’ name “Fasola Piękny Jaś z Doliny Dunajca/Fasola z Doliny Dunajca” is now legally protected in the European Union.
The beans from the Tarnów Region will be from now protected like oscypek - smoked ewe’s milk cheese. Following Karp zatorski, it is another Polish product registered by the European Union as the Protected Designation of Origin.
Fasola Piękny Jaś z Doliny Dunajca (Fasola z Doliny Dunajca) is characterised by large seeds, high content of magnesium (Mg), sweet taste, delicate, mellow structure and texture, thin, soft skin and short cooking time.
